This site exists because I wanted one corner of the internet I actually own. Not rented from a platform, and not another voice in the general hum of people posting about work on you know where.

It’s deliberately a bit of an island and I’m glad that you made your way here.

The site is built like it was both 2006 and 2026 with the discipline of a simpler web running on the tooling available today, attempting to illustrate the timeless Steve Jobs quote “Design is how it works”.

The stack is a part of that argument: a static Astro build with typed, Zod-validated content collections, publishing a post is as simple as committing a Markdown file, and there’s no client-side JavaScript unless it’s actually needed.
